I was looking for martini glasses as a gift for my father. I wanted ones that fit easily in the dishwasher, so I ordered these. I did not get a chance to measure them at Christmas at my parents, but they were certainly quite a bit taller than 6.4 inches shown in the description, as they were not close to being the same height as other glasses I have that are 6.5 inches and fit upright in my dishwasher. Other than that they were very nice with a fairly large bowl. Would have given them 5 stars if the dimensions had been correct. They are a good value if you don't care about the height. I too was happy to find these available on Amazon because I already owned them. I have >100 Riedels and I use them as my everyday wine glasses. I love the difference it makes on the tasting of the wines. I have now done several demonstrations for my friends and they all agree that it really enhances the experience of tasting the wines.
As to their fragility...I have only broken 2 - a chardonnay and a burgundy one. I think those are more fragile.

If you drink a lot of rioja or ribera del duero wines, don't pass up the opportunity to try them out of this glass. It's designed precisely for tempranillo based wines, and the size and shape of the bowl (despite the slightly weird appearance) focus the bouquet in a way that will absolutely knock your socks off.
