Low Price Aldrich 14-Ounce All-Purpose Glass, Purple

The glasses are lovely; look much more expenses then their value. They're easy to drink from since the glass is very thin; however, they may be easy to break, but that hasn't happened yet in my case. I do find that when I take them from the dishwasher, the bottom needs to be wiped clean to avoid water stains from forming since the bottom has a slight indentation in the middle.Get more detail about Aldrich 14-Ounce All-Purpose Glass, Purple.

Discount Waterford Mondavi Cabernet Wine Glass, Set of 2

I already own the Burgundy set, I don't profess to be a wine connoisseur.
I drink Merlot, Cabernet, and other red wines moderately priced. I serve in Red wines glasses. Now this stemware is so specific to each red wine I don't know if that matters much cause I will serve what ever I like in them. Will Mondavi be upset? Well now that's his problem. Once the label comes off I will not know the difference anyway. That being said I gotta say they are beautiful! They beg for formal china and haute cuisine. But a good beef stew is eyeing these too. Beautiful large bowls, fragile (looks like it) stems. It will show off a red wine beautifully. You'll clean up your language and speak high tone. They demand it. I think they will crack if you behave badly! Waterford at a basement price. (Less than 20.00) Now that's what I am talking about!(Opps I mean... It is a wise investment) I saw this same glass line at a department store for far much more. Thanks Amazon!Get more detail about Waterford Mondavi Cabernet Wine Glass, Set of 2.

Cheapest Anchor Hocking Everton 8.5-Ounce Wine Stem Glass, Set of 12

Great price for a box of 12. Very nice, solid feeling glasses. I think these are perfect for parties or even everyday use, where I don't want to chance breaking my really nice stemware. At about $2.50 a glass I can afford to lose one or two now and then. These glasses have a 2-5/8 inch round base, a smooth 2-7/8 inch stem and a slightly tapered 4 inch bowl. The total height of the glass from table top to bowl rim is 7-1/4 inches. Shipping was a little slow, but all my glasses arrived in perfect condition. I also ordered a box of 12 Anchor Hocking Everton 6 ounce champagne flutes and the base and stem match the wine glasses perfectly. The bowl on the flutes is about 4-7/8 inches and the total height is 8-1/4 inches. Cheers!Get more detail about Anchor Hocking Everton 8.5-Ounce Wine Stem Glass, Set of 12.

Buying Riedel Ouverture Magnum Glasses, Set of 4

First and foremost: I was reluctant to buy Riedel brand glasses precisely because they market the quack science of tongue "taste zones" based on head-tilt and other elaborate, but equally insane, hoaxes.
These glasses are great because I was able to get 8 for the price of 6 at under $7 a glass. Any cheaper and I'd be at Target or Cost Plus World Market where the cheap glasses are clunky, unpolished and striated/warped. Although, Cost Plus is such a cool store and I've purchased casual stemless ware there!
These glasses are the perfect size for swirling and the perfect shape for sampling, tasting, and drinking many varieties of wine.
I've lived in Spain and experienced great wine from goat skin sacks, plastic cups and wooden goblets. Txakoli is served from a highball!
Good wine is good wine, and a good price is a good price!
Enjoy (minus the BS marketing nonsense)!
Ching-Ching!Get more detail about Riedel Ouverture Magnum Glasses, Set of 4.

Buy Lenox Tuscany Classics Grand Beaujolais, Set of 4

I have been looking for some decent sized crystal balloons for quite some time now and originally saw these Lenox Tuscany Classics Grand Beaujolais at Macy's, but couldn't decide between them and the regular sized balloons from the same line. I went back to Macy's and compared the two glasses side by side and decided on the Grand Beaujolais. The standard balloons are smaller than I anticipated.

After returning from Macy's (they were asking the retail price), I found and ordered these glasses from Amazon. I must say however, that after reading some older reviews I was frightened that the glasses would arrive broken. I have to commend Amazon for a timely shipment. They also seem to have addressed the broken glass issue. My glasses were completely wrapped in bubble wrap and in the original box. Not one was broken.

Someone in a previous review mentioned that they had both these glasses and the regular sized balloons and that they preferred the Grand Beaujolais glasses. I have to agree. The wine seems to breathe better, swirling is easier and the fingers of the wine are much more visible. Beautiful glasses, just beautiful!

Purchase Spiegelau Vino Grande Champagne, Set of 2

I am wine collector w a sommeliers diploma - so I've done a lot of tastings over the past 20 years. Obviously the top league is held by Riedel - the old guy did his research on glass shapes (although debatable whether optimal for every varietal).
I find the Spiegelau's better value for money in the long run.

Pro's:
1. Thicker and more durable than Riedels. I used to wash Riedels in a dishwasher - some breakages resulted. The Spiegelaus are tougher.
2. Specific to the champagne flutes - I find the overall balance of the glasses very good. They are stylish, yet still functional in that the closing tulip preserves the flavors.

Cons:
1. Not Riedel?

Great value - good for every day use, but will still serve as excellent tasting glasses.

Order Riedel Sommeliers Montrachet/Chardonnay, Single Stem

Yes, Riedel Sommeliers Glasses are very thin and seemingly fragile. However, we purchased 8 glasses in 2003 (not from Amazon, unfortunately) and until last week had five left. Then, I turned into a clutz and broke one in the sink -- hand wash, always hold on to the bowl of the glass -- and even being careful, I broke one. Then, I knocked one off the counter -- even my canning jars would not have withstood the trip to the floor. I do not remember how the first three glasses were broken -- the breakage happened in their first year in our possession -- long time gone.
Now, here's the proof of the pudding -- we love the shape of the Montrachet/Chard glass and use our glasses 365 days per year for what ever wine we are drinking. Yes, wine for dinner every night, in glasses we love to touch! We have no other wine glasses -- and having gotten below dinner for four -- I started to shop. I read the reviews and decided someone should attest to the durability of these glasses.
We use our Sommeliers Glasses daily. They move from the dining room to the kitchen with me as I cook. On occasion, they go outside to the grill (in my hand). No worries! I wash them, one at a time, without the glass ever leaving my hand.
Feel the feather-weight touch of the glass in your hand and care for it appropriately.
We were once wine glass snobs and had glasses for each wine we enjoyed. Then, we settled on the shape of the Montrachet glass. Better, in our minds, to have one perfect glass to put even a Pommard or a Chateau Neuf du Pape in, than six possible cheaper glasses of the supposedly correct shape. Buy one versitile glass, (the Montracet/Chard glass is great at $65.00 per stem) rather than six glasses at $20.00 per stem.Get more detail about Riedel Sommeliers Montrachet/Chardonnay, Single Stem.

Where To Buy Riedel O For Two Tasting Set

As with all Riedel glasses, these look gorgeous. The lead-free crystal and the thinness of the glass give the set a really classy and elegant appearance.

My only reservation is that the glasses are just a tiny bit too big for sake, and the carafe is rather small. The carafe - even when full to the top - does not hold enough sake for refilling both glasses. And the best sake glasses I've been served in at restaurants have all been significantly smaller. If the glasses had been a little smaller and the carafe significantly larger (say about 50% bigger), I would have happily given this set a fifth star.

Still, I'm pleased with the purchase and expect to get a lot of use from this set.Get more detail about Riedel O For Two Tasting Set.

Shop For Waterford Lismore Toasting Flutes, Set of 2

First of all, I looked at other websites and the average price for these was $135. I got them for around $97 (I think that included shipping), and they were packaged perfectly and arrived in perfect condition. They were for a very special couple's shower gift, and the bride was thrilled with them.
